JAKARTA, Jun 2: Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) caught a Central Jakarta Commercial Court judge accepting bribes from a curator on Wednesday night.

"The judge was arrested in the Sunter area of North Jakarta last night around 10 p.m. after he accepted bribes from a curator," KPK public relations staff Priharsa told The Jakarta Post on Thursday.

"We believe that the bribes were given in relation to a PT SCI bankruptcy case he was handling," he said.

KPK investigators confiscated Rp 250 million (US$29,250) from the judge.

The curator was arrested later that night at a different location, Priharsa said.

Both people were taken to KPK headquarters for questioning.

"The questioning is continuing," Priharsa said.
