It is heartening to learn that Rosmah Mansor, the first lady of Malaysia, has joined the Asian University for Women (AUW) Council of Patrons. I extend my sincere congratulations to the Malaysian First Lady.
First Lady Rosmah Mansor’s joining to the AUW will contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between AUW and the institutions in Malaysia.
Introduction of 10 fellowships named after Rosmah Mansor by AUW will encourage deserving students to get higher education.
It is inspiring to know that First Lady Rosmah Mansor will actively advocate for women's empowerment and education in general and the cause of AUW in particular. I sincerely hope that under the initiative and patronage of First Lady Rosmah Mansor the AUW will move ahead towards accomplishing its objectives and in ensuring greater welfare of the womenfolk.
